Viacheslav MKpsychologist, psychotherapist

Psychologist for Ukrainians abroad

A new country, a new language, work outside your profession, loved ones far away. On the outside you cope, but inside you are tired of holding on. I work online in Ukrainian and Russian, understand this path and speak your language.

“A New Country Without Losing Yourself”

What people come with

  • Homesickness and a feeling that life is “on pause”.
  • Guilt towards those who stayed, or towards yourself.
  • Work outside your profession, fear of starting from scratch in another country.
  • A long-distance relationship or quarrels over the move.
  • Loneliness: people around, but no one to talk to.
  • Worry about loved ones and news that will not let go.

Why it matters to speak your own language

It is easier to talk about what matters most in your native language and with someone who understands the context: war, separation, bureaucracy, the “temporary” that has dragged on. You do not need to explain everything from scratch and can go straight to the main thing.

A block of 10 one-to-one adaptation sessions

“A New Country Without Losing Yourself”

Who it is for

  • You moved recently or long ago but never felt at home.
  • You need to decide whether to stay or go back, and what to do about work.
  • You want to regain a footing and plans instead of living in waiting mode.

Format

A block of 10 one-to-one sessions of 60 minutes online, once a week. Between sessions, short tasks from real life.

How we go

  1. Sessions 1-2: where you are now, what holds you and what drains your energy.
  2. Sessions 3-5: homesickness, guilt, worry for loved ones, how to live with it rather than fight it.
  3. Sessions 6-8: work and money in the new country, fear of starting from scratch, self-esteem.
  4. Sessions 9-10: a footing, relationships and a plan for the coming months.

What you leave with

More footing and calm, clarity about work and the “stay or go back” decision, and a plan you can carry out.

Questions

Which countries can I join from?

Any: sessions are online on Zoom. We pick a time that suits your time zone.

Can we work on a long-distance relationship?

Yes, one to one or as a couple session. Mention it in your request.

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on the format and the country you live in. I tell you personally after the free intro call. A block costs less than 10 separate sessions.

What if the cause is deeper, such as depression or addiction?

Then you first need a psychiatrist or a medical psychotherapist. I will say so directly and help you find where to turn.

Start with one conversation.

The first session is 60 minutes on Zoom: we look at what is happening and make a plan. In Ukrainian or Russian.
